Applied Work

This project focused on building a flexible and recognizable brand identity for a modern, community-based mahjong group offering lessons, events, and social experiences. I translated the client’s vision into a cohesive system by exploring tone (playful vs. refined), visual hierarchy, and usability across touchpoints.

As part of my process, I presented multiple design directions and options, gathered client feedback, and iterated through several rounds of edits to refine the final outcome.

Key considerations included contrast and accessibility in color selection, typography pairing for clarity, and simplifying detailed iconography for scalability. The final direction balances personality and polish, designed to perform across social media, business cards, and event materials.
